Like we said last year, probably the most disturbing ones are the sexy versions of children's characters, like Sexy Big Bird and Sexy Cookie Monster. Can't we all agree to draw the line at sexy schoolgirl and not try to take it to the next level with sexed up Sesame Street and Disney characters? Here are a few more that we found this year...

And then of course there are always those costumes that demonstrate a heightened sense of cultural sensitivity.

The only "vibe" we're picking up here is the "these costumes are offensive" vibe.

There is also a lot of sexy gender-bending going on on the Yandy website. Not that we have anything against gender non-conformity, but some of these sexy female versions of famous male characters are just ridiculous. (And some are so ridiculous that they're almost kind of awesome. Almost.)

MC Hamster and "Sexy Donatelo"
The real issue we have with this ninja turtle costume (aside from the fact that it is a male, non-human, children's character and is possibly the most low-budget costume we've ever seen for $25) is that it's not sexy at all. It's just a T-shirt but the name is actually "Sexy Donatelo". But this one is even better... what's sexier than Chewbacca!?
"Wood Chipper" and "Sci-Fi Furry"

Whilst most are ridiculous (credit card, seriously?) there are a few on your list which seem entirely appropriate to me. At least as appropriate as sexualizing a children's holiday ever seems.
Princess Peach or Jem, for example, are both children's characters, yes. But they're also childrens characters from generations past. At 24, I'm too young to remember Jem, but Princess Peach has been a woman in the media I participate in throughout my entire life.
It's only natural for people to be sexually attracted to those who bear a resemblance to men/women encountered during sexual development. Fictional or otherwise.
But what the fuck is up with sexy beerpong?
Jem I can understand... but Princess Peach is still current. My kid knows who Princess Peach is and she shouldn't be "sexy" lol.
Oh, also, regarding Green Lantern, as a nerd, I can verify that:
1) There are plenty of lady green lanterns. There are, in fact, thousands of green lanterns.
2) They basically all wears skintight green bodysuits. Men and women alike.
I don't tend to think that kids liking something should preclude it from being sexualized.
Though, again, sex being present at all during a children's holiday seems somewhat inappropriate to me in the first place.
