Happy International Women's Day, everyone! There's so much cool stuff going on that we don't know where to start or end or what to do with ourselves, so we're just going link crazy. Start with the official International Women's Day site, where you can check out the huge listing of events taking place around the world, learn about the history of the day, get helpful facts and stats on global gender issues, do some networking, and much much much more. There's also an IWD/Reuters Twitter feed to check out. And of course sites like Our Bodies Our Blog, Women's eNews, Amnesty International, and Feminist Peace Network have great coverage. Bloggers Unite has 200 bloggers participating in their IWD event, which means lots of good reading. Then go to the TED blog and check out the videos that they're featuring today of four TEDTalks by and about women - they've got author Isabel Allende, former Nigerian Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, scientist Nalini Nadkarni, and singer Nellie McKay. Wade through everything with an IWD tag on Huffington Post. See what President Obama and Secretary of State Clinton have to say about the day, and check in with UNIFEM and UNESCO.
