If you can't view the clip, BillO is responding to a Planned Parenthood ad that criticized John McCain for his spectacularly incompetent answer to a reporter's recent question about whether it is unfair that some insurance companies cover Viagra but not birth control. After referring to the people at Planned Parenthood as "fanatics", Bill goes on to say "listen up - Viagra is used to help a medical condition, that's why it's covered. Birth control is not a medical condition, it is a choice. Why should I or anybody else have to pay for other people's choices?"
So Viagra is used to treat erectile dysfunction, which is a problem because it prevents men from having full and satisfying sex lives. Birth control is used to help prevent pregnancy, which enables women to have more full and satisfying sex lives. Birth control is also used to treat medical conditions like endometriosis and PCOS in women who may or may not be sexually active. Viagra treats a medical condition. Birth control prevents one medical condition and can help to treat others. (And pregnancy is pretty expensive as medical conditions go, so you could argue that it's in an insurance company's best financial interest to cover the preventative measure and not the condition itself.) Both are about the choice to be sexually active. A woman could choose not to have sex rather than use birth control. A man could choose not to have sex rather than use Viagra. But neither should have to if that's not what they want.
Of course, it's useless to try to debate something like this with Bill O'Reilly. After his rant about whose freedom to fuck is a choice and whose isn't, he leans into the camera and yells "DO I HAVE TO BUY YOU DINNER BEFORE YOU USE THE BIRTH CONTROL?!", which...what does that even mean, really? It was as if talking about this subject just brought up a bunch of bad memories for Bill about all of the women who wouldn't have sex with him, even after he bought them dinner, and he just lost it for a second. Poor guy.

So depressing that people are actually planning on voting for this man.
He is probably in favor of Viagra because he needs to use it...
